關於沙加緬度國王「表弟」DeMarcus Cousins的交易傳聞近年一直沒停過，15日有其他球隊的總管爆料，最快12月。
Cousins今年依舊是聯盟頂級中鋒，目前繳出26.6分、8.6籃板、2.9助攻，三分球命中率還有31.4%，但國王也依舊是扶不起的阿斗，本季戰績4勝7敗。
「我會說，最多就是3個月內。」一名匿名總管說：「最快可能1個月、1個半月，因為當這件事越接近2月的交易截止日，國王所能拿回來的就越少，截止日前才動手真的是很困難的事。」
《Sporting News》表示，國王現在躊躇於還沒放棄今年球季，17日開始的主場5連戰將成為他們觀察的重點，這些包括戰績、比賽內容、球隊氣氛。
另有一名東區總管分析，「其他29隊的總管不會想要被他們搶劫，因為大家都覺得他會是個頭痛人物，會對球團造成負面影響。」
不過也是有人認為國王不會大刀闊斧，一位西區總管表示，「除非國王想挖洞給自己跳，他們不會交易的，我不知道這對他們是不是好事。」
